La Locanda di Pietracupa is a B&B in Chianti with a typical Tuscan restaurant located in San Donato in Poggio, between Florence and Siena, in the heart of the Tuscan countryside. Our mission at the Locanda is to offer a complete experience where guests can both eat in the Chianti region, discovering the flavours of typical Tuscan cuisine, and sleep in an early 1900s manor home nestled in the Tuscan hills, surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the Siena countryside. Two brothers and their respective partners opened La Locanda di Pietracupa in 2000 – Massimiliano and Monica, Luca and Franca: all driven by their deep attachment to the local territory but, above all, two cooks united by a passion for Tuscan cuisine.

Terrace and Winter Garden

The Locanda di Pietracupa has a large Winter Garden where you can taste the delicacies prepared by our cooks surrounded by the Tuscan landscape. In summer, you can enjoy the delightful and cool panoramic terrace overlooking the village of San Donato in Poggio. An experience of total immersion in the exceptional atmosphere of the Chianti hills.

Monica and Franca, chefs and soul of the Locanda

Our cooks Monica and Franca are the beating heart of the Locanda di Pietracupa restaurant.

With more than 20 years of experience in the restaurant business, and thanks to the strong passion and inspiration they have in common, chefs Monica and Franca creatively recompose the traditions of typical Tuscan cuisine into new and surprising dishes. Both have participated in numerous cooking courses and experiences around the world, from India to Thailand, and they are always looking for new ideas and solutions to amaze our Ristorante della Locanda guests with typical Tuscan dishes revisited with an innovative twist.
